Coach Currell enters her seventh season as the Bellaire Women’s Soccer Varsity Assistant Coach and seventh year teaching at BHS.

Coach Currell was born in Fort Worth, Texas where she began playing soccer at the age of five. She played six years for Phoenix Soccer Club ’84 of Fort Worth and coached Under 14 Girls her junior year of high school. Coach Currell attended Paschal High School where she played four years of soccer, three on the Paschal Women’s Varsity Soccer team.  She attended the University of Texas in Austin (’07), pledged Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, and received a Bachelor’s degree in Ancient History and Classical Civilization.  Coach Currell earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Mississippi (’12) with a focus in mathematics.

Coach Currell and her husband, Collin, live in Memorial with their rambunctious pups, Abby and Biscuit. Coach Currell is avid runner and her favorite race is the Half-Marathon. She currently teaches Academic Algebra 1 at Bellaire.
